I’ve personally known Malcolm Harris for at least over 5 years or more. He would run demonstrations out at A-Kon of his roleplaying game Nemesis, which was a Super Hero influenced game. He’s always an energetic and upbeat sort of guy which always made him a great salesman when talking about his game. His creativity is always on and is a consummate storyteller. He has a new game that he has coming out which is called Witch Girls Adventures. Witch Girls Adventures is set in a world where magic is real and teenagers have to go to school for magic. It draws on influences from manga and anime, but Witch Girls Adventures does bring something new and isn’t just an imitator.

Hey all! Just curious as to who's going to the Anime Boston Convention this weekend. I'll be there with my friend, her mom and my mom. You'll spot us by our (rather poorly made) hats. Hers will be blue with rainbows or a bunny hat, and mine will be either totally brown teddy bear ears or a black-and-white-skulls cat hat. Both of mine are poorly made, but I just learned how to stitch, so bear with me!

I may not be back online until after the convention is over, but I'd love it if a fellow MPer who is going could try and see if they can spot us! I'd love meeting a fellow MPer - and taking piccys!

I found this site that sells overstock of books and they have a lot of manga for cheap. Most of the manga go for like 2.50 to 3.99 (65 to 75% off).

A man has been arrested and accused of trying to kidnap a 15-year-old girl at an Austin hotel.

It happened on Saturday at the Doubletree Hotel on Interstate 35. The girl told police a man grabbed her by the neck while she was standing outside the fourth floor elevators.

She said she was choked and dragged down three hallways to a doorway that led to a stairwell and a parking garage. She told police she fought with the attacker the entire time-- she says she was only let go when another person was spotted in the stairwell.

Hey manga/anime fans. Here I am, new to the website,and currently I'm working on a manga short story "Lost Legend-The blood of legend" the setting to the story is in medievial time period. This story will contain all kind the elements, such as love, friendship, lost of friends, betrail of friends,and so on, but of curse a short story can't cantain all of those things. so if the story turn out be be good,or better yet get published.then I'll work on a manga series under the name of "Lost Legend" I'll try to let u manga fans see my first chapter of the story, and screw all the manga haters lol. Oh and 1 lost thing the story is action/advanture/fatasy/, and plz tell me if the title sounds cool or not.

BURBANK, CA Applications are now being accepted for the Warner Bros. Animation/Hanna-Barbera Scholarship, an annual award given to a graduating high school senior enrolling in a college, university or trade school to study animation.

This is the second Warner Bros. Animation/Hanna-Barbera Animation Scholarship, which was created this year in honor of the late Bill Hanna and Joseph Barbera, and the great animation legacy of both Hanna-Barbera Studios and Warner Bros. Animation. Hanna passed away in March 2001, and Barbera died in December 2006. Los Angeles County High School for the Arts graduate Kris Anka was the recipient of the inaugural award. He is presently attending California Institute of the Arts.

Its kinda sad though becuase all the ppl that we know and love ...including ourselves are going to go in flash before pur eyes but do you really think thats gonna happen? Most contests in the comic book business are geared toward artists. Shadowline is bucking the tide and creating a contest geared toward writers!

According to Shadowline editor, Kristen Simon, “I’d been hoping to see a super-hero book with a strong female lead to act as a counter-point to our popular Bomb Queen series, but none were forthcoming. So I decided to come up with a contest to create a super-heroine for the 21st Century.”

The character will be 100% creator-owned as all Image and Shadowline books are (Trademark and copyright to be shared by writer and artist). The winning entry will be featured in their own self-titled three issue mini-series to be drawn by fan-favorite artist, Franchesco! (She-Dragon, Green Lantern Corps Quarterly) and back-end profits will be split between the creators.
