Let's get cracking: contribute links and such regarding writing

Rachel the Great's picture
Suggestions Rachel the Great - Tuesday, January 30, 2007 - 20:40

All right, cats and kittens. Manga Punk could use a little updating so it can cater to young comickers better than before. It's your turn to contribute! The new pages will focus on each aspect of the comicking process:
Writing
Pencilling
Inking
Coloring/Toning
Lettering
Publishing On/Offline

We're going to start with Writing. Check your favorites, the Manga Punk archive, whatever. If you know of any articles, tutorials, or sites of interest, post links them below. If you have any of your own tips, please post them as well. The new pages may allow me to use quotes.

Please use bold labels like tips or tutorials to your suggestions so I can distinguish between discussion and contribution. If you would like to contribute your own tutorial, you may do so through the "contribute->article" side menu on you right.

Thanks! Let's see if we can make this place rock :)

Writing/Lettering/Panelling(?)

http://lilrivkah.livejournal.com/169915.html#cutid1
This was posted in the forums somewhere a while ago by David. It's a tutorial on panel flow that you (Rachel) were given permission to put up on MP. You just never got around to it, I guess. :3

I'll post more as I find it.

Yep, I have Rivkah's thing

Rachel the Great; Friday, February 2, 2007 - 23:09

Yep, I have Rivkah's thing all laid out but haven't put it live yet. Just too busy.

But, this forum was for writing links. I think that was more of a pencilling link.

I was hoping to make individual forum topics for each page so people could suggest links as they come across them.
