Tamora Pierce Inspires 12 Year Old To Create Comic

News David Doub - Monday, December 11, 2006 - 20:20

Taken from ComicBookResources.com

"Greg Hatcher tells the story of one of his 12-year old students, Tiffany, who was told she couldn't adapt a Tamora Pierce ("White Tiger") story for a class comic assignment because it was copyrighted. What Tiffany does next is a story that should not be missed."

Quick question then, would buy a Superhero comic if she wrote one (because she is)?

I would agree with that, but from what I've noticed alot of manga fans don't seem too keen on superheroes. Not that they have to be keen on them, but I figure sense they read "comics" they would me more likely to like Superheroes than a non manga reader.

Well it's probably will

Well it's probably will become a Trade Paperback when it's done, but if you want it now, you can contact your local comic book store and see if they have some issues on hand.

You can find a local comic store at:

Tis a cute story!

I was looking up some things on tamora perice and looked up the concept sketches for white tiger and read the first chapter on Tamora Peirce's site. The guy in that article was right. A comic with Tamora Peirce's name on it could possibly make a profit big enough to combat the manga industry. (That could be a good or bad thing but nyeh I love both styles!) I used to be a huge fan of Tamora's work back when I was 12. I have to admit I"m quite partial to it. It's a really nice mix of Tamora's kick arse larger then life female characters with marvel's gritty realistic style. A marvel comic I can relate to YES!

I can't help but cringe every time he mentions the name Tiffany. Since that's my name...uh I'm not a 12 year old girl obsessed with Tamora Peirce...>.> NOT ANYMORE!
