Well, Bush has done it again. The 5th ammendment means nothing if you're accused of terrorism now.

Is rape the only crime this guy not willing to commit?
What's worse is that many an innocent child is supposed to be idolizing him. Kind of like Hitler Youth.

I wonder how far he'll take

Sinn; Friday, July 20, 2007 - 01:59

I wonder how far he'll take this order. I mean, the military recently tried a few members of Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW) because their statements "were demoralizing to the troops." If I'm reading this executive order correctly, then it could easily be applied in such circumstances. They have a tenuous line of logic that could possibly link dissent among the troops as an attempt to "undermine the economic reconstruction of Iraq."

"And just like that, it was over... The last flames flickered and died amidst the rubble of an empire[.] As the smoke rose into the blackened sky, we realized that the world we had known was gone forever." - Eric "Doc" Griffin on the fall

Uh, "Bush" must be Whacked

Dungionman 3; Friday, July 20, 2007 - 15:48

Uh, "Bush" must be Whacked in the head and not even his wife will agree to __ __ with him, and all the prostituts whacked him in the head. If that is true, wich I doubt, then that guy could be stuck in the "nut house", "cookie jar", or any other names you call the crazy-person-place.

And we all know that tenuous lines of logic are more than enough for the Bush administration.

What if this (well, not this particular executive order, but the whole ravaging of Executive Privilege) sets a precedent that only gets more and more outlandish as time goes on? I know I'm not the first to think of this, but... I just can't see threats to America getting any less "extraordinary" in the future, so from here on out, executive privilege may be a permanent fixture. Feel free to correct me, older wiser people... in fact, I'd really like to be wrong.

Pull down the future with the one you love.

You're quite right about

Joamette Gil; Saturday, July 21, 2007 - 01:57

You're quite right about presidents setting precedents for future presidents (say that five times fast). It's all a game of "hey, if he got to do that, I should, too!" And it's really our own fault for allowing it to happen in the first place.
