For a girl I like Saria or Jordan or Haley or maybe Zelda. I like Both those names XD

For a boy...I like Link, Cory, Thiago (Baby bro's name), and Jake. I like link the best though XD.

I would name my kid Link, but I don't want them to hate me when they are in middle school and people make fun of them for having the name of a Nintendo character because their mom is obbsessed with it..

Funny--yesterday my mother was just telling me the story of how I got my name and how it was almost stolen from me. x)

I think about names a lot because I think up characters and stories in my head a lot. I think, in a way, the name you are given has some affect (if even a small one) on the way you grow up or turn out.

Really? I didn't know that. :) I used to watch novelas all the time back in the day.

My name was from a soap opera my grandmother used to watch when my dad was a little kid. She told him she wanted a granddaughter named "Joamette." My dad met my mom and told her he wanted a daughter named "Joamette." My mom ran around since she was 15 telling everyone she was going to name her first daughter "Joamette." They're relationship ended really badly before I was even born, but she still named me "Joamette."

I really want to find out what soap opera that was. But the only results Google gives me all lead me back to myself. o_o

My mom named me Elizabeth Rose, and my best friend named her little sister Elizabeth Rose. I was over their house and I kept responding, even when the mother snapped, "Elizabeth Rose! Get over here, now!" And that's how the story got out. We even told the story to my mom. (Poor Mom.)

I hate the name Cloe. I think it's cute for a 2 year old, but a 2 year old will become a 22 year old.

My freind's name is Lily, and her whole generation in her family (not just immediate) is named after flowers.

I generally prefer less common names. I always felt bad for the people who were one of about 2-5 Britneys/Christophers/Ashleys/Michaels/Stephanies/You-Get-It in the classroom during roll-call.

Well I am an Ashley, but I'm male so it's less common, plus I think it's alot less common in England than America. I was the only Ashley in my whole school, male or female.

There were loads more Joes and Joeys in my school actually :) male and female.

Hee, then I guess it's a good thing my name isn't really Joey. xD

OOh, Ziggy and Maya are both good unisex names.

I don't like the country Israel is all. Do name your child that irregardless of what I think if you want to, but I will probably be prejudiced.

Ziggy is a great boy name... I've always wanted to have a son named Zeigfeld and call him Ziggy for short.

For some reason there are dozens of Megans and Emilys at my school. Emily is supposedly one of the most popular names ever... I've always liked my name (Katherine) because it has a lot of nicknames to choose from. I change them when I go from place to place. Here it's Kat, in college it might be Kitty or Kathy... It's a little too popular, though. I changed to Kat when I moved here because there were like a dozen Katies at my old school, but then it turned out that there were already two here... I went by my middle name, Rose, for a while when I transferred to a different school, but everyone got so obsessed with getting me rose-related stuff. I don't like roses much.
