I agree, the young Snape had no reason to envy James. He could get a girlfriend especially seeing how good he was with a wand (the book mentions he was a very smart scholar). And personally, if I had a choice right then between James and Snape, I would choose Snape. (James was rather pigheaded at the time).

I was at band camp the last week and we played this game where you have to stand att attention while people around you try to make you break (laugh, move,etc.) and your goal is to get to one minute. well this is how my boyfriend managed to break me within the first ten seconds:
He comes up to me and starts walking around me in circles saying "ring....ring....ring...ring" then he jumped out in front of me and yells "BANANA PHONE!!!!!!!!!!" I just started cracking up...I couldn't help myself! *giggles*

It's realy funny what people talk about on forums and blogs! I could read them ALL day!

Any way I got the new book LONG time ago before my birthday. I can tell my kids I was around for EVERY book and movie when they came out. I may have not been very old, fist book, according to math and common sence, came out 7 or 8 years ago, am I correct? I think I woulda been......3 or 4? Maby?

Oh yea. Severus has always been my favorite with his good looks and vast knowledge of potions and spells ^-^ in fact.. when I was awaiting the arrival of HP7 I searched fan-fic.net for any version that could be considered notable. And I found an interesting one.. shall I share?
Used to be titled "What now severus snape?" but I just checked for it to put the link and its no longer up in that name, or just not up at all.. It's verry long, longer than JKs "Deathly Hollows", but yea, it is about Snape mainly, and his romance twords a muggle woman who lives in the US I do beleive. And I printed it so lol I have the story, but I havnt read it sence the first time. XP

lol well did u read HP7? I think that snapes legacy was greatly played throught the harry potter series. Jk is an amazing writer to think of all of that, seriously, didn't you like the stories end?
