That's because one of the signatures is called from the database and will change dynamically when its owner changes it in user preferences. The other was hard-coded and only editable by the user (providing we can let users edit their comments). I assure you that it is not an error on the script's part, as it will not happen in future posts. Also, I changed my signature on purpose. It was not swallowed. It is too long, though.

I can edit my comments everywhere except for the forums, there isn't a button for those. I haven't tried editing a forum topic yet, but I can edit blog entries. I hope that helps...

Here are things that I've encountered so far. I don't see a place to edit my old comments. I think there are still problems replying to my topics (I'm not sure though). Also, I ran across the following error message (once only though):

That error was me fiddling with the book review module. My bad.

As for the editing, it should be accessible (should) through an "edit" link at the bottom of each of your comments. I take it that this link is not present?

If you delete one comment, you delete all the posts that replied to it??

It's confirmed. If you delete a post (at least with the "reply to individual posts" option turned on), all its replies get flushed, too. There is a way to fix this:

We switch the replies to "flat" so we can no longer reply to individual posts, but I also add the "quote" module that will allow us to quote one another's replies and distinguish between who is replying to whom (kinda like on Gaia).

Either that or you get used to being unable to delete posts. This needs a vote. SPEAK OUT ON THIS, PEOPLE!

Actually, now you can edit any of your posts, even if somebody has replied to them :)

There is no edit link under my comments. There was one before you replied to my first error post, so it may have to do with after someone has replied specifically to my post it can no longer be edited.

Okay, then. I know why it's doing that. See my reply as CrowChick to Joey above. I fixed it so you can edit your forum topics!

I think that we should just use the "flat" replies with the "quote" module. Although I think it looks better using the individual post replies, it is useful to be able to edit and delete your posts easily.

The bars used to represent the poll results are rather annoying. They are the same color as the background on the oldskool skin, and at first glance it looks like the empty white space in the gauge-type-thing is the actual statistic. At least, that's how it appears on it's page. The smaller version on the right-side menu looks fine.

As for the deleting of posts, it is a very convenient feature to have, plus it seems more proper a method of dealing with improper/unnecessary posts than editing them and writing "ignore" or "." or "oops." My vote goes for "flat" posts.

I am trying to see how replying to a comment effects its editableness.

I don't know how many other people are experiencing this, but my age on my user page does not match my birthdate. I have my birthdate set to 01/26/89, yet my account labels me as 16 years old.

The content areas for writing blogs, articles, whatnot are not loading/showing up as boxes but as little spaces like so

so far i have been able to overcome this by typing what i have to say in word proccessing and then copying and pasting.... but, even then the content box does not expand and the writing overlaps all the fomatting and preview comment text

Did you notice this happening before I replaced the default theme?

What browser are you using? Are you on a Mac or PC? Can you send me a screenshot?

i'm not sure when you put the default thingy up, but this happened for the first time yesterday.... i use a mac, internet explorer 5.1.... i'll send you a screenshot later

i just thought i would mention that i am using a different computer (a PC) right now and the text boxes are showing up fine
