Death Note!! I love this anime! It's very well done and the whole story is very clever. Blood + is another good one.

Evangelion and Chrono Crusade are my favorite anime series. Princess Mononoke is my favorite anime film. :)

As for manga, I don't really think I have a favorite anymore. I used to say it was Princess Ai, but none of the stories I've ever read in manga really "wow" me enough to supercede the others as my favorite. I still enjoy Japanese comics, mind you; however, my favorite comic from any country is definitely V for Vendetta. :)

My favorite Anime/Manga is Naruto. I just..Love it so much. It makes me cry alot.lawl.
Also, I like Fullmetal Alchemist and Vampire knight alot.

Pokemon? I love the old ones with just Misty, Ash, Brock, Team Rocket, and 150 or so pokemon. BEFORE Ruby and Sapphire.

I would have Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball Z, and Yu-Gi-Oh on here,But I like, forgot EVERYTHING about it. Especially Sailor Moon and DBZ.T.T

Evangelion sucks. And so does Naruto. I am so sorry, Naruto and Evangelion lovers, but I hate those two with a passion.

Tsk, tsk, WaterFaerie. You hate Evangelion just because you don't get it? I mean, you're entitled to dislike whatever you want, but... that seems like such a poor reason. ;P lol

That is hard for even a veteran of anime like myself to understand. Flcl is can totally grasp whats going on but evangelion put mein brain in a infinite loop of confusin and massive amounts of brain dead drooling. Not pretty.

My Fav Anime: Gantz(NOT FOR KIDS), FLCL,Anythin Miyazaki,Innocent Venus, Kurau Phantom Memory(Highly Recommend) and Pani Poni Dash.

i used to read that..i read up to vol. 21, but it strayed so far of the original plot and got so ridiculous that i had to stop.

The anime is known as Karin, which is also the Japanese title. It's a humorous look at teen angst through the eyes of a female teenage vampire. Instead of sucking blood from her victims, she actually gives blood to them. If she gets the desire to do this and doesn't bite someone, then she gets a nosebleed.
I recommend the manga over the anime though. The manga seems better written.

Hee, the point of Evangelion is very simple. ^_^

All of human invention, progress, and development has stemmed from two basic qualities in people: they are afraid of getting hurt and afraid of being alone. Since the difficulties and strifes in a person's life are caused (directly or indirectly) by other people, it stands to reason that to escape pain you must be alone. Ironically, humans crave the company of others, those who could potentially cause them pain at any moment. That's man's dilemma.

And the bad guy is a psycho who decides he's going to solve this dilemma by fusing all of humanity into one single being so no one ever has to be lonely or hurt again! :D

Many of the people who worked on Evangelion ended up in mental institutions or trying to kill themselves because of it. Making FLCL was Studio Gainax's way of having fun and letting off steam after working on something as soul-crushing as Eva.

My new favourite anime has to be Elfen Lied! I stumbled across it by accident and absolutely fell in love with it. Has anyone else seen it?

Also saw Princess Mononoke recently, i liked it a lot but i still think Spirited Away was better. :)

As for manga, Bleach is my absoute favourite, I liked Fushigi Yugi about as much as a straight man can, and am currently having a crack at Ouran High School Host Club...
