It's like Myspace only a little more mature (although that's changing with all these rubbish add on things), easier to find people and keep in touch, more basic no fixing up your home page or anything. It's just better in general :D

2. Everyone really should learn a second language, as it really helps you later in life. I wouldn't have a job now if I didn't know Spanish.

English is one of the most difficult lauguages to learn. Japanese must be easier.... maybe. I want to learn Japanese so bad! The only thing I can learn from is watching anime and that isn't very accurate when you're trying to learn.

Its hard to pick up and with polite, neutral and informal forms of almost every word its mighty tricky. Plus congurating (spelt wrong) verbs is difficult for a while, but overall not so bad.

And yeah theoretically English is one of the hardest, but seeing as basically everyone speaks it and almost everyone teaches it from a young age you tend to get used to it and pick it up easier.

I agree with Ash on the language thing. English is considered one of the most difficult languages to learn (as a second language).

Guess which one is also widely considered as amongst the world's most difficult: JAPANESE! :D

Yup. Japanese is loads of giggles. You've got a whole new grammatical structure to learn. You have to memorize hundreds (thousands if you get that far into the language) of symbols that may be words if not syllables, if not entire phrases. Certain words have several meanings that may not have anything to do with one another (sometimes one word means a set of antonyms). There's no L sound or R sound, but there is something in between that sounds like a D, only not. No syllables are stressed in Japanese (it's not "TOE-may-toe" or "toe-MAY-toe"...it's "toe-may-toe" ...if you can get that...). When a sentence ends in "su," you have to say the "ooh" sound in such a way that makes it seem as if you're about to say it but you didn't say it.

I should really try to get all of you on facebook or something 'cos although it's terrible and I hate to say it, this site is falling into disuse quite a bit of the time :( and don't want to lose contact with all of you permanantly.

Chinese characters changed over time by lazy hands. As for spoken language Chinese must be harder as different areas in a nation speak it slightley different and since China is bigger than Japan there would be more differences to remember in more areas. I don't actually know anything about Chinese so thats just logic speaking.

Yeah that is what I was thinking, loads of different dialects so gets complicated.

I may post a blog about it at some point... my brain is pretty out of whack right now, so I don't want to try explaining myself until I've got everything figured out.
