Comics for a Cause

My friend and I are thinking of joining (if not starting) a Comic-for-a-Cause anthology. You know, where you work your little buns off to create a romance or a horror or an action, etc, piece; submit it to a large comic anthology; and, if you are lucky and you are published, you are paid a minimal for your efforts and the rest is sent to a charity of some sort.

Does anyone know of such an anthology? And, if not, could anyone give us an idea and/or tips for such an anthology?

Thanks much, all! Let's get comicking! XD

PS. I put this in "Jobs" because it's not really a "General Discussion" topic....

There are a lot of them...

I've seen several comic anthologies for a cause.
Perhaps the most famous of the bunch is the Fund Comics series, which benefits the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund. Their site is http://www.clbdf.org .
There were also some anthologies published shortly after 9/11 for the victims of that tragedy. I've heard about one that helps war widows/widowers whose spouses have died in Iraq, but I don't know the name of it.

The Texas Conventions a Collection of artwork I've collected over various conventions.
