New Drawing

I know I haven't really put up much art lately. This was a concept from my book idea, "The Alphabet Book from Hell." This was called, "D for Demon," and it IS a male, and it's sitting on the world. Of course, it's just a sketch, and when I learn how to draw continents correctly, I will be able to ink it and call it complete.

I would like an advanced critique. Please, be nice, just be honest. I really don't need to hear your opinion of how cruddy I am. I already know that. Besides the world, what do you feel I could change to fix it?

Oh, and the safety pin is planned. My friend can do the same thing to her skin. Gross, yes. Awesome, on a demon, yes.

I like the concept xD
For critique, I'd say that the hands are not drawn right. The arm ends with a wrist as in the end of the arm should curve in and then a hand should be made.Nice drawing though ^-^

Trey, I disagree with you, and I will probably check an anatomy book and be entirely wrong, but the hand-and-wrist can twist into that position. The fingers may be off, that might be it. I will look into it and fix it. Thank you!

I hate to break it you and Trey, Killijoy, but the demon doesn't even have a wrist. That's what's wrong with the hand. ;P

The fault lies in the shape of the lower-arm in general. It should get narrower as you travel from the elbow to the hand (as opposed to wider, as in your drawing). I hope that helps. :)

He certainly is a cutie.
