Hinamori, from Bleach my new obsession.

Tattoo Design.

Cute couple I did for a Gaia art contest. Very, very, shojo. This was actually my first attempt at a style like this.

My most recents, actually drawn today. Again, for Gaia... (Fine, you got me! I vanished for a while because of that site. But it sadly gave me a lot of opportunities for art.)

Thats all for now! Feel free to comment and critique, if anyone reads this. *Heh*

Damn.

Joamette Gil; Wednesday, July 4, 2007 - 23:51

Damn.

You're good, Iko. Very.

My favorite is (obviously) the very last one. It reminds me of my own style for some reason (no, that's not why I like it).

I shall return here later with some criticism for you. I'm busy drawing at the moment myself, not to mention I must go crawl to my bed and clutch at my heart in utter agony seeing as you ditched us for, of all places, Gaia... *cringes* :p

Comment on my art and I may just forgive you... *Pssst! Joey's a strumpet for comments!*

Panels Please

David Doub; Thursday, July 5, 2007 - 01:02

I don't mean to single out Iko for this (or that I'm really picking on anyone really), but I want to see more Sequential Art. I see alot of great artist on this site but I hardly see any sequential work. At cons and plent of other sites there are tons and tons of folks that draw fan pics and pinups, but they don't take the text step and do panel by panel work. Yes there's a phrase that says a picture is worth a thousand words, but manga is about using a series of pictures to create the illusion of movement. That's kind of what the idea behind the MP Comic Jam was about, to give people a chance to try out doing panel work.

Ah, I see.
I'll digg up somthing. But I have to say that I'm not involved with the comic jam. I wasn't a member when it started...

It's not about the Comic

David Doub; Thursday, July 5, 2007 - 02:30

It's not about the Comic Jam, just saying that it was a good chance for folks to try out doing panels (and it's still open if you want to help out).

I'm just saying as growing manga artist it's good to see panel work. To see if you can keep the character the same (and background) panel to panel. If you know how to work different "camera" angles. To see if you can make action flow from panel to panel. Work facial gestures and body language to show various emotions.

For a talented artist like yourself, I think you could learn alot by trying new things like that.

Aizen Taicho!!! Sorry Had to

Neila; Thursday, July 5, 2007 - 02:37

Aizen Taicho!!!

Sorry Had to say it...
Anyway, the eye placement seems a little bit off on each face, be it slightly too far appart, or one eye too close to the ear or one lower than the other, each could use some work.
I really like the energy of the last peice, though her right shoulder seems a little squished in. I think its a result of her having her shoulder back and arm behind her coupled with the folds of her jacket, but It just seems off.
I think some work on cloths folds and drapery will help, as well as a bit on anatomy. (I gotta work on both of those myself...)

Good job ^_^ I like the bottom one best.

I second everything Neila

Joamette Gil; Sunday, July 15, 2007 - 02:48

I second everything Neila just said...

...PLUS (on the last one): either way, the span of her shoulders is too small given her frame and the size of her head. Her legs are also disproportionate to one another, the left one being much meatier than the right one. The leg on the left side, by the way, looks more natural than the other. Another thing you could improve upon is her hands. The one holding the whip is hard to make out, but I can definitely say that the one making a peace symbol looks very flat. The size is right, but you may want to try some shading to make it look more 3D. Hope that helps! =)
