Synopsis:

This book contains a tone CD and tips on how to use tone to portray everything about couples such as their emotions, clothing, and hangout sites.

Review:

Let me first begin this review by stating the obvious, this book is perfect for people who intrested in drawing shojo or very lightheared manga; however, it could be useful to people drawing other genres if they want a romance scene or something such as that.

I enjoyed this book a lot for it was filled with tons of examples of tone usage and ample explanation to get the same affect with my artwork. My favorite part was probably the section on how to tone "date spots" for I'm not particularly good at toning backgrounds. The section on portraying clothing texture was great too. Another plus to the book was how it gave step by step instuctions on how to install the tone cd as well as use it.

The only downsides I found in the book was that it only briefly talks about the basic uses of tone, so if you are a beginner I recommend waiting before buying this book. Also, it would have been good if they had explained how to install more tones onto my computer in case I bought a later volume or something.
