Okay. So this technically doesn't happen until the 27th but i couldn't help but announce this... as of this month I will have been a MPer for a whole year.
Yes, i know this isn't very impressive to a good portion of my sempais track records, but i'm pretty happy about it saying as to only other site that i managed to be a member of for a long period of time was neopets (and that was long ago...back when Yu-gi-oh was king).
Out of curiosity, how long have other people been part of MP?

Okay, so I was searching the web at some webcomic (translation: manga) hosting sites and the critiques people gave one another, and one thing kept coming back into my mind: Thank goodness I went to manga punk. The truth of the matter is that although I have yet to post artwork, all of the critiques you give each other are never cruel. You guys never call people amatures and your critques are helpful not vauge.
Furthermore, you guys are the one place where I can really share my thoughts on manga and drawing for there really aren't any enthusists around where I live (that I know of).

Yay! Exams are o-v-e-r for me! I think the best exam was probably art because my teacher let me make a giant manga page about myself as a "surrealistic self portrait". Awesome no?
The downside was my last exam was this morning, so I had to get up early (like six-fourty five).
Exactly one week from today, exams start for me They drive me insane with all the studying I have to do! This year I have a:
spanish exam
english exam
math exam
chem exam
and...an art exam
None of them are particularly scary to me save for the chem exam. Egad, I am bad at that stuff.
Thank goodness I don't have finals. Yep, just the midterms. Does anyone else have exams?
I just love Christmas. Yay! I'm excited more than usual this year however, because I actually bought my family decent gifts and actually have money left over, yay! The only thing that is a pain to me is wrapping presents. It wasn't to hard to wrap my sibling's gift (three Naruto's vol. 16, 17, and 18) but the irregular gifts were a pain in the butt (i.e. a scarf). To make matters worse, my parents are like gift wrapping gods, so my gifts always look horrible compared to theirs.

So...i'm now working on my first graphic novel, a slice-of-life comedy.
The only thing that has been bothering me, is that the only turorials I have come across online (besides here) are all very dated (by very dated I mean 2004-2006 with no updates after august). Why is that? Did I miss something?
I started drawing today, thinking i would get a flash of insperation. Do you know what happened? I drew one line. Thats it, one line. Because i know deeeeep in my heart i'm afraid about what the heck i'll do with the finished product. Im not that good, and i do it all by hand (apparentley no one does it by hand anymore where i live) so my chances of anyone but my friends liking it/reading it are slim to none. *sigh* I think that i'll try anyways and post it here...but, be nice about it when you read it. A newbie's soul is very fragile and easily broken.
