Does any one even remember me? I've been gone all summer, but now have a spifferific new laptop - and am mooching off of someone else's internet (IDK who). But I still exist - sans webcomic - and still have my boyfriend, John #2 of almost four months. Junior in high school now, still want to be a funeral director, etc, etc.
How's it hangin'? Miss me?
"God save the Queen!" "Holy fuzzy toadstools, Toad Man!" and other such interesting explitive-deletives escaped my mouth this morning. I came to find out that - although we were already about a week late uploading the comic - my friend had not uploaded to the disk I gave her.
So...now we await (with unbaited breath, to be sure) to upload tomorrow.
Remind me again why I wanted to start a webcomic?
...in life. I'm starting this webcomic, with three of my friends, and I promise to give you the link when we actually start up...Otherwise, it's hell trying to do character profiles, and coordinate episodes, uploads, and all of the other fun stuff that relates to webcomics. So far, all we've done is set up the aesthetic sense of the website...There's still a lot of drawing to be done, not to mention lots of typing. It might even have to be hand-lettered...*shoots self* And I'm the main artist, and webstaff maintenance, and everything. Our projected start date is in two weeks, on a Wednesday, we said...At least, that's what I think we said. It might be one week, and I'll be too dead to know.
So I've made a command decision that I want to work on realistic portraits now. It's going to be hard and not at all fun, but I think it's something I need to do. So I'm going to go around taking oodles of pictures, printing oodles of pictures and using oodles of pictures that may not be exactly mine in order to draw a face perfectly. It's going to be a nusance, but if I was able to perfect my manga in four years, I want to perfect a natural face in that time.
...It's just something I want to do.
I HOPE to keep working my manga along the way, of course, but my realism will come first.
Yeah, if you've noticed, I keep writing. I guess I'm just sick of my conventional diary for now - plus, it hurts less to do this, so...eh.
Lessee, I've got a crush on this guy from CVS, near my house. He works there; name is Matt. He's sooo cute, and before I even knew John, I liked him. But the thing about me is when I've crushed on a guy that long, I inevitably get too shy to even look him in the face. But yesterday was weird...yesterday, I had enough ice cream (free Ben and Jerry's day, yesterday) that I was in a good frame of mind. I had the spoon stuck in my mouth, which had me pretty content. And I thought, "You know what? I think I'm gonna talk to him."
I have a wrist brace on now, courtesy of four years straight of drawing. I've been having HORRIBLE carpal tunnel, where I've basically fallen asleep crying, lost sleep and not been paying attention in class because my wrist hurt so badly. And my teachers didn't believe me because my DOCTOR didn't diagnose it.
...It was so bad, my mom diagnosed it. She used to be a nurse.
So we went to the local pharmacy and now I have to wear this wrist brace every single time my wrist hurts. It hurts to handwrite, but typing really isn't a problem, because I took typing classes for four years of my life, and how you held your wrists was about 25% of the grade. No lie. So if I try participating in a class, it hurts, but typing to you doesn't. It's sooo weird.
Today is National Vow of Silence Day for the Gay and Lesbian (as well as Transvestite and Transsexual) Community. I have actually taken the Vow of Silence, which for me is amazing because I SERIOUSLY can not keep my mouth shut for more than two or more seconds. But since I heard the news, my lips have been zipped...as well as numerous classmates. It's actually much easier than I thought. Even my most evil teachers have become leniant when I just hand in the piece of paper explaining why I'm not talking. In fact, I have received a lot of respect and accomadations from the teachers, which makes me very happy. No talking makes asking questions like "How are we going to explain we're not talking to the evil Science teacher from hell who doesn't believe in gay or lesbian people?" to my friend who takes the same Chem class rather difficult, but with pens and a free spot on our arms, it works out. We gesticulate a lot and smile and hug and wave and flap and mouth and mock-sign language and somehow, we get the point across. It acutally is really fun, and I can't wait for next year's National Vow of Silence Day.

As for the corset, I got one on Thursday. It's all pretty, with black embroidered roses and pinstripes. (I have piccles, but not on the Net, yet.) It's murder to sit in though, because you have to sit up straight, tuck your stomach in, arch your back, and MAINTAIN IT. Not that I mind. I've needed posture training for YEARS now - I hate my slouch, it's so ugly.
I figured out why they invented fainting couches, though. I wore the outfit to a thing at the school - "Dancing with the Senior Stars" - and even got up to dance. It was so hot, especially under the corset! I felt like I couldn't catch my breath after doing this particular dance move, where you grab your friend and jump up and down. (I don't know the technical name, or whatever.)

09. My boyfriend broke up with me the day of the con, and I ended up crying for about an hour before we left for Boston.
08. His reason was that I fight like a three-year-old. When I heard that, I instantly reverted to, "Well, I didn't get a fair chance because when x happened, I was too embarrassed to find out what you mean which was my fault and when y happened, I felt very sad, blahblahblah." And he was [i]still fighting like a three-year-old.
07. He also wants to go out with one of my best friends, but nothing more than a "hook-up." She's really into him, though.
Yeah, so...my boyfriend and I will be having our one-month in about two days. I feel stupid because I let the length of my relationship define me. But whatever.
My friend (the one who made the racial cracks) is trying to break us up. Yes, I know, I know, it's stupid of me to still be her friend, and frankly all of my friends hate her guts. Which I find really sad. But she's sort of been asking for it for a while, and now she's especially taking enjoyment of finding ways to tweak me and him and she enjoys fueling the fights we've had (only one big one, though she seems to think there have been lots of little ones, too. And the big one was thanks to her pretending to be me on the phone, and then she told him 'I love you' unprompted because she has a crush on him....long story for a later date.).
