anways..

I'm very much yaoi crazy at the moment. Lots of new manga on my shelf and lots of renting of boy's love stuff.
hehe.
I'm such a fan girl.
And at the con I was at, I bout a purse that says I heart yaoi.
so far I haven't been able to wear it cause my wallet is too bulky. Need to learn to detach from material stuff.
hehe..sounds like a paradox. or something.

anyways. I'll try to be more dilligant in regards to blogging and being here more often.

Another lonely but busy summer. I work and work.
No time for anything or anyone it seems.
I'm never with anyone long enough to get to know them, or vice versa.
What is one to do?

Perhaps I'm destined to be alone, in that sense, for a long time.
I must wait for that perfect time.
But the perfect time always takes so long. lol...

Wow..I just finished going through 5 years worth of old entries...

and you will not believe some of that bullsh*t.

Talk about your teen angst and madness.
Did you know there was point there I thought I was a vampire, that I was stalked (but wasn't), and tried to hook up with my best friend's boyfriend.

Oh my GOD.

I was a wreak. Man..I'm soo glad I've grown up a bit. Sheesh.

School is coming to a close and exams are coming..
I've only studied for my japanese, but I know I will fail it anyways..

I will probably pass 3 out of 5 courses this year..and I'm on probabtion from the school because of my low grades...
( it just restricts me from how many courses I can take--and I need academic advisor permission to continue for next year)

so I'm in a deep hole...

Today I saw a brochure on teaching abroad..gave it read, and thought to myself, my cousin and I should just go teach overseas in Japan or something. (she's in one of those "I don't know what I want to do, but I want to travel" phases..)

Before I ran out of funds..
I was renting "Witch Hunter Robin" and "GunSlinger Girls" series.

Witch Hunter Robin;

I like the opening song..very mellow.
So far, it definately is better than la de da HP. These are my kind of witches..,but I never would have classified them as so w/ the kind of powers the "witches" have. oh well..that's just me..
The series as certianly inpsired me.
I can't wait to finish watching it..
I even giggled when i learned previous works of the voice actors.., lately I've noticed voice actors more often. I'm hoping to break into voice work for anime once i'm done school.

Vixen X in "Battle of the Bands" ft: Dreadnaut

I've been talking out of my @$$ for a long time that i wanted to make a comic w/ a cameo of a local band that I support. For almost a year I blabbed that I was gonna do this thing where the band would battle w/ my character Vixen X in a battle of the bands competition.
FINALLY. I am doing it.
But I'm doing it one page at a time..
I'm testing to see if I can uphold the ability to produce a page every few days...
I'm thinking the reason I never finish making good copies of my comics because I try and do them in one big heap. BAD IDEA.

RULE # 2 - Do not rush art. hehe..

I've noticed that when i take on large tasks of drawing..i tend to procrastinate and lose faith in my abilities because I am rushing to get a comic done due to procrastination, and this rushing eats away at the potential of well done "page".

Ever since I was young I have enjoyed drawing comics. However, it wasn't until about the age of 14 that I started drawing comics in "manga" style.
Every time someone would see my work, they would inquire what it was for. Was it for school? Was it for an actual publication? Or was it just an art submission for anything?

My answer every time was: "No, it's just for me. I draw it because I want to."

Many people were surprised I put so much time and effort into art and stories that no one outside close friends and family would ever read.

I learned early that the best way to develop comics/stories that mean something; were to create characters that mean something to you First. In my opinion, characters that resemble a part of you seem to do better and more readers will relate. Granted you want your comics viewed by others in the first place.
